Face Masks for CHI
CHI Health saw a need to have masks made for the community, so we reached out to the Latino Center of the Midlands. With their help, we connected with Yolanda Diaz, owner of Little Miss Fashion, a business hit hard by COVID-19. Because of the large demand for masks, Yolanda was able to hire Latina women who had been furloughed or lost their jobs to fill our order for 200,000 masks. The masks will go to CHI Health patients and visitors, and we are donating up to 10,000 masks to the Omaha Housing Authority, and community groups in north and south Omaha. Little Miss Fashion LLC
Little Miss Fashion LLC, started manufacturing clothes for little miss fashionistas in 2012 by Yolanda Diaz. Yolanda started with a small dream, which would turn into a reality. With it's ups and downs like any other business, thanksfully there were more ups than down. Soon it would take off as the giant retailer Zulilly would take an interest in Little Miss Fashion's clothing line back in 2012. This would open the doors to other opportunities. Culminating in 2016 with SBA, giving Yolanda (owner) the award "small bussiness person of the year for Nebraska".
